Yeah...from what I understand, some wires need to change locations.

BUT...seeing as I successfully swapped a Mercury Marauder cluster into a Crown Vic, this should be a walk in the park.

Sorry for the delay. Been working a lot.

Everyone that I know either hasn't returned my email yet or does not have a lux amp laying around.

OK...I think I found an amp locally...for only $150.00!!!!!

It is out of a 2005 Escalade with 75K on it.

Now, I am 99.9% sure that ALL Escalades got the LUX amp. But that .1% of doubt is making me confirm that 100% of Escalades received the LUX amp.

Am I right?

--------------------

I also have a few housekeeping questions...

1. According to the writeup by DuratotheMax, there is no extra wiring harness or anything like that I need to buy. All the wires I need to make this work are there...they just need to be relocated (and I eill need to tap into the class-II data wire). Correct?

2. Will this work when I am done? Or does the HU need to be reprogrammed to talk with the LUX amp before it will work? Or will it work properly without a reprogram?

Well...that went well.

Monday I was all set on going down to get the amp......but my plans changed when we got an ambulance call shortly before 4pm on Monday (I get off at 4pm). Of course, the place that had the amp closed at 5pm...and was about 35 minutes away from my house. No worries right? I just go on Tuesday. Well...plans changed again...by another ambulance call. No worried right? I just go on Wednesday...which I did...I got there at 4:53PM...I'm happy...I just made it.

I go up to the counter, tell they guy that I saw the amp on their web site for $150. What does he tell me? It was SOLD yesterday.

Needless to say, I am steaming right now. The next closest one is over over 800 miles away in Texas (according to www.car-part.com)

The search continues.
