Yup do a pre LP filter from Leroy (@Burning oil) and don't put a sock back on it.
Spend some time reading the stickies here, there is tons of stuff to learn about a 6.5 that will make of brake ownership. Keeping crankshaft from snapping via HB; keeping temps always under 220 & balanced flow water pump; liftpump relay harness mod;FTB mod; when your new LP burns out in a year-upgrading it; which of the 2 glowplugs to use and avoiding all the others; etc.
At least write a note and keep in the truck with registration & insurance papers so if your computer looses the favorites tab, you know to Come here next time. But it is far better to use free time here reading and learning of problems before they happen and knowing how to fix them before they occur.
