95 dually rear brakes

I got the brakes changed but my brake pedal goes to the floor before the brakes grab and hold that is the reason i changed the brakes
 
Any leaks? Could be an external or internal leak. Master cylinder or a brake piston could be bad.
 
Cant find a leak anywhere and i have replaced the booster,master cylinder, and power steering pump but pedal still goes to floor
 
The adjusting shaft thingy has a star wheel that you adjust. Its at the bottom side of the shoes. You have to reach through backing plate to adjust them.
 
Flush the rest of the brake fluid with new fluid out all four bleed screws until new fluid comes out, then re-bench bleed the master cylinder. Reconnect the lines and bleed again.

If after that it still goes to the floor and no leaks are present suspect a bad new master cylinder.
Was it a brand new master cylinder or a rebuild?
 
I'm going to go out on a limb here and ask, did you bench bleed the master before installing it ??

Did you bleed your p/s system after installing the pump & booster ??

And last but not lest, you said you changed all this because the petal was doing this before ... take the top off the master and have someone SLOWLY push the petal down, look for bubbles in both holes...
 
Yes every thing was bleed the way every one on here has to do it in other post but still dont have any pedal if there is bubbles in the master cylinder what does that mean? Have air in the lines or an internal leak on the master?
 
If you have bubbles in the master cylinder then there is air in the master cylinder. You have to Bench bleed the master cylinder or replace the master cylinder if it will not bleed out the air.

 
put in the bench bleeding lines instead of the truck lines and watch the flow. if it is pushing fluid back it is bad
 
I had to replace the master cylinder last bite because my pedal never got any better but after replacing and bench bleeding the master cylinder and bleeding each wheel one round my pedal is starting to get stiffer thanks everyone for the info
 
Another case of new yet bad part. Glad to here your back on the road, sucks you had that bad of a mess though. Hopefully you kept the other old brakes to use later, and booster you could sale for a few bucks.
 
The brakes were wore out so they needed to be changed and i had to turn everything else in for a core but the booster was starting to leak so it worked out for me
