95 chevy 6.5 not starting. owner said cloudy fuel

ok so heres the progress. it runs finally. the lift pump/ lp relay/ it has a fuel leak on the back of the motor. we also had a buddy with a 96 6.5 come over and he let us unhook his pmd and then it finally fired off. the motor is very noisy when started. its kind of like a draging flywheel but it mite be from injectors.

Fuel leak can be hoses to the Fuel filter manager or injector return lines. Fuel leaks mean you have air leaks. Air leaks mean extremely hard starting as in 30 seconds plus of cranking. 30 seconds of cranking and cool the starter for 2 min or you will be checking the rear starter bracket (important) by removing the dead starter. The Fuel Filter manager can also be leaking. The fuel filter itself can be leaking at the top gasket to FFM housing. The air leaks in when the engine is off and fuel flows back to the tank from the air leak. It is difficult but critical to find and cure them.

Check the harmonic balancer on the front of the engine as these are prone to fail and can slide back and run the oil pan and then the crank breaks. For your noise concern anyway.

Great! Got a video of it running? It may just need to run for awhile to settle in. My Isuzu ran like crap and smoked til it ran awhile, now its fine. Might be shhetty fuel too.
Couple orings on the FFM one WIF sensor and at the base for heater element. I have both in nitrile if interested. I also have PMD kits. Check the link below

GPs are not controlled by PCM, but by the relay. What shape are GPs in? GPs are pretty cheap so you may want to start out with a fresh set. How long have you been cranking it? To confirm: you are now getting a good steady volume from the drain/air bleed on FFM?

1993 in his signature you are correct. The 1995 he is working on the GP's are controlled by the PCM. Just to make sure the OP isn't confused.
