95. 6.5chevy. Big problem. Please help

Are you using an extension cable for the remote mounted pmd or are you plugging in the original harness? Extensions have been known to be bad (China)

Also if it's an ssdiesel remote mount, Walt probably told you to move the ground from the top of the IP to the heat sink. If you did that put it back on the IP.

Sorry but right now I am out of ideas.

Have you had it running since the IP change?

Until you can confirm the status of your PMDs your going to have a hard time proceeding. It sounds like it will run as you said it gos to WOT when you jumped it. Im still leaning toward the PMD for now.
The DTCs would be good to know also as Leo said.

Did he use the correct Injection pump? What will happen if you put a OBDII pump on an OBDI? Maybe punt and put the original back on and start from scratch.

0bd1 and 0bd2 makes no difference. Where the pumps can make a difference is the 5068 is used on some 94 HD 2500 and 3500's.

All others used the 5067, 5288 or 5521, There may be some I missed

It is possible that the wrong IP was used but the pmd is still likely.

A bad resistor is also possible.

Thank you all very much. I'll get another pmd today. Or can they be tested. I know that orielly's can test ECM on most cars and trucks. But don't know about pmd

We need to keep this clear or there will be misunderstanding.

PCM= powertrain control module (used to control 4L80e trans) in pre electronic fuel systems.

I think you meant TCM for the mechanical engines??
