'94 K2500 4wd 4L80E RPM Question

Checked with auto zone and they won't swap my alt for one with the right sized pulley because the alt hasn't failed. Guess I'll have to short it out real quick lol.

My 95 w/ 3.73s shows the same rpm as my 93 w/ 4.10s

I don't think AZ even offers one with the correct sized pulley in a direct fit application. The one on my BURB for an 01 3500 CHEVY with a DURAMAX from ADVANCE(REMY brand), is REALLY close to being dead on, but all of the ones for the older trucks seem to be gasser pulleys. it's always best to keep your old pulley and swap it over to the replacement alternator. And with an AZ DURALAST alternator, it won't be long before it fails. I quit putting them on in my shop because I got tired of warrantying them them after a few weeks.

(I did not say this)
If AZ had the right pulley on an alt then buy it swap the pulley and return it. They'll never know.:shhh:

I coasted into a town once with a locked up alt and there was an auto zone across the road. At that time (over 3 yrs ago) I didn't know about there being a wrong sized pulley. Soon after the new one started not charging consistently, the new alt is going strong but like you said, their part #s don't show different pulley sizes.
