94 6.5TD Low idle

Same question. 1994 K1500 won't idle fast enough to stay running after it is warmed up. It has no tach so I don't know what speed it is idling at.

The truck sat for a year or so. The cross over pipe is off at the moment if that makes a difference.

It idles until it gets warm and then it seems to slow down just enough that it sies.

Any ideas on how to bump it up a touch so it will stay running when warm?

Not putting the cross over back on til tomorrow or maybe even as late as Monday.

have 94 6.5 turbo diesel - starts very quick (turns over maybe 2-times to start; begins idle @ 900 rpm when first starts then slowes down over next 7 or 8 minutes to about 600, then dies a sudden death as if you turn key off) has constant 5 psi fuel pressure.
Has anyone got any ideas

Clear section of fuel hose from top of injection pump to return pipe ahead of the IP, after it is installed, engine running and see if there is air blowing through.
It takes about 9” of 1/4 inch clear hose.
An air bubble at the top of the bend with engine off is okay.

Fuel pressure gauge with Mod Mafia Tee. New fuel tank with new feeder and return lines and seals from the tank. Patience.
