93 C3500 4l80 w/ trans problems

None of that stuff ever worked on my 93 5 speed, most of the idle and advance stuff is missing in the IP so I've never messed with it.

I guess all I can do from a test drive diagnosis is drive it and see what it does then go from there. Never had to trouble shoot that far into a 4l80.

When I got my 95 it needed a new solenoid kit, I forget what I did but it was easy to figure out and replace compared to a 93 with voodoo wiring lol

Today's the day and its snowing.

Any quick tips on what and where to look for would be welcomed.

Mechanically I'll know the engine but the trans issue still concerns me.

Is it a 3500HD? I know they had 4.56 or 4.88's in them. Never seen a regular 3500 with anything taller than 4.10's witth a diesel. I know the 350's could be had with 4.56's, but they were rare.

Factory 456, regular C3500. 50mph in 3rd at 3000rpm.

1-2 shift is rough at light throttle, 2-3 is smooth, not 4th at all.

Comes with new dash, 00 water pump and clutch, dmax fan, lowering kit (resell), and 4.10 dually rear. Has 0 blow by and cracked off smoke free at 33* after sitting 10hr.

I forgot to get codes, was 25* when I stopped driving it.

Coolant sensor in cross over didn't seem to do anything for the idle

Looks like rear main leak but couldn't see oil from the ess area but couldn't see the ess from being too cold to care lol

All wires I found were hooked up.

No gooseneck ball but did have holes from a 5th wheel. Nice interior other than dash, even has the little arm rest.

Reg cab 2WD are hard to sell. Let him sit on your offer awhile.

I've been trying to remember in the fleets of the couple of times we've lost od in one that all else was ok. I can't remember one that we had to do the trans in. I remember 1 for sure that was sensor. Imo, still count on getting him to go down a bit more just in case.

It did peak my interest wondering what mpg it would get with that gearing & weight combo.
