Wow, nice job- looking good. Blown big block- sounds like it will twist and shout a bit!
42lbs injectors!! those are heavy! mine are only a few oz

Welp, that was fun while it lasted.
Slipped belt wasn't actually slipped. Supercharger seized up and killed the motor. Upon examination...
Put the truck back to stock last night.

It was used, yes. I bought it off a semi-local member of another GM forum. It was running when removed, so I really don't know. Gah. I know I shouldn't feel cruddy about inanimate objects, but I basically have a $3,000 paperweight. I can't afford to repair it, and doubt I can get anything back for it.
Parts are basically non-existent. I can have a newer version built that fits but it's costly.

It's crazy how the world sometimes works.
I recently was back in contact with an old co-worker of mine. Upon catching up the topic of the Whipple came up. Turns out his Father had a 98 Suburban that had one installed on it when they were towing snowmobiles. The Suburban had one of the inside lower intake manifold bolts come out and ended up getting eaten in an intake valve (ouch), at which point the suburban was retired for awhile. Eventually the truck was torn down and his Father decided to play with an accel ramjet FI setup on it... And the Whipple was sitting. He got me in contact with his Father and I ended up getting the supercharger from him... it has about 30,000 miles on it... So, after re-installing everything and a couple days of screwing around with pulley to get everything aligned correctly, I once again have a supercharger. I also picked up an AEM dryflow filter and some new tubing to make a better intake setup - eventually I'm going to build some sort of airbox for it.
The other one is getting rebuilt.
Shortly after this (since I've been extra careful listening to random noises due to the first mishap) I noticed my AC compressor was making noise. I had previously noticed it was leaky... The dreaded HT6 "Belly Leaker" compressor our trucks all have. After a good amount of research I found that Sanden makes a conversion compressor for our trucks - part number U4440. They are a WAY better case design, 7 piston (old ones are 5) which make them a good deal quieter and more efficient. Grabbed a new accumulator, orifice tube, hoses and condenser along with the compressor. Took it down to a buddies shop, used the AC machine to evac and recharge. My orifice tube came out perfectly clean - ended up replacing the upper muffler lines, accumulator and orfice but flushed the condenser and evaporator.
Next task, I'm going to have to tear the front cowling off again. I STILL have a mystery leak making my carpet wet.....

both driver and passenger floorboards. It's not the heater box, and it has a new windshield. I've read where sometimes the cowl sealing leaks.... So that is my best guess.

I'm hoping this one lasts longer....... so far so good!
Forgot i picked these up the other weekend... Really good passenger bucket seat and a 99-02 center console in light grey....... Now to just find the front block off plate and a good driver's side bucket.
