I know a lot of you guys on here don't have too many of the older style Chevys like mine, but I wa wandering if anybody had pictures of different style mirror swaps. I really would like to see how an hd mirror or cummins mirror looked on them. Let me know what you guys think and pics help a lot, thank!

the same thing i have on my truck :skep::hello::welcome::Rudolf

I JUST finished up on a mirror swap on my ol C65 GMC...Doors are exactly the same.... Used a pair of parts yard specials. :D $10 a piece. Stainless. Fasteners and all.

They are from a 95 or 96 dually flatbed. The HD's use these too.

You can see the damage on the door where the old mirrors were. Gotta patch that up.

Couple things on getting them to fit, The top two braces will need the ANGLE changed on the door side. As in the tabs need bent upward some. The top REAR brace will need twisted downward slightly too. Of course the bottom brace will need a new set of holes too but they set perfectly on the door. I used a 3/16X1X12 piece of flat steel that is drilled and tapped (metric bolts here) and glued to the inner doorskin just to hold it in place until you draw down on the bolts. You could hang on the mirrors if you wanted to.

Got the same setup on my 1993. Cost about $300 new. Placement to see is tricky. However with the round mirrors I can see more than I want to behind me. I always worry about decapitating a pedestrian or bicyclist with them. This pic was before we ran over the Elk.

Such a shame an Elk took you out. I like that '93 color combo. In my biased opinion it's the most awesomest. :)

That's a LOT of mirror for a fleetside...

To clarify post 3,
I JUST finished up on a mirror swap on my ol C65 GMC...Doors are exactly the same....(as the OP's '91, 73 thru 91 except the smaller pickups which went to the 88-98 body... but we all know this....) Used a pair of parts yard specials. $10 a piece. Stainless. Fasteners and all.
