6.5 Mirror Swap?

Has anybody ever taken their stock mirrors (not the airplane wings, though I suppose it could work) and put 06+ towing mirrors on there? If so, How?

I thought about doin it when i had my 6.5. the angle of the windshield and everything is so different that i figured it wasn't worth the work.

I think it would just take too much work, are the bolt patterns the same??

I know the cutout is different so youd have to do a lot of custom work.

If i remember correctly the bolt pattern is different as well

I'd heard there was some fabricarion involved. Not that it matters to me. No Dodge mirrors on my truck

Yeah, something about a plate or something, but they're supposed to match the body perfectly.

A little late but, CIPA makes a nice set of wings/towing mirrors for the 6.5's if you want the 300+ price tag. They are nice though.

I swear they make GMs big mirrors. Those CIPA mirrors look just like GMs mirrors except the actual mirror part isnt as squarte and doesnt have the convex.
