6.5 dies out

IMO no difference in those OPS choices and if you have a relay any OPS will work fine.

Takes about 20 minutes on 96 & ^.
Before you change it out though, if LP is working then OPS is good.

Im not sure if I have a relay, pretty sure I do, and the lift pump does work, but everyonce in a while I have to open the fuse box and pull the ecm-b fuse and put it back in and then it starts right back up

It starts up and runs fine but when i get on it and then let off the oil psi gauge goes down to almost 20psi and sometimes it sputters or just dies out. It does it whenever like i said when i was at school i was just sitting there idling and it just cut out. Then later on afterwards i went to go to work and it ran fine for a day and now today it did it.

As long as you have oil pressure the OPS will work (unless its defective of course). I would save the $30ish and not buy a new OPS. If LP is working then OPS is good.

And I just saw you have a 98, so after start up your ECM keeps LP running. You need to confirm LP is putting solid pressure (7-15psi) to the IP at idle. If yes the fuel system is good. Do you have a fuel PSI gauge? If not stick one on the FFM drain hose and check it. If you want to monitor on a permanent basis I sell a fuel pressure tap to monitor LP pressure to FFM.
5th item down here http://leroydiesel.com/Fuel_Delivery.html

The fuel driver known as PMD.....it's harness wiring has an optical sensor filter in the harness....which is a resister to block out filter AM radio noices......it looks just like a black connector.....remove it and plug the fuel driver{pmd} back in and see if problem is fixed

Wish I knew, your going to have to do some diagnosis and tell us why it dies.
Go to post 13 and read the link.

Thanks all you guys and gals for all the help, I'm going to do some tests to it this weekend ill let you guys know how it goes, I'm going to test the fuel pressure and go from there. Hopefully its a cheap fix.
