6.5 Crew Cab Short Bed - Does it Exist?

I've seen a few pics of the CC SB Dually trucks on line and 1 in person but have not in the single wheel... I completely understand what you mean about the practicality of a Crew Cab when having family / kids...

Besides my long time project Dually, another Suburban maybe in the future...

Shortbeds dont have enough space for my day to day needs, found this out the hard way with my 06 CCSB Dmax and 95 Z71. I have been able to make it work but it always looks cluttered. 10ft beds can be set up w/ PLENTY of space but not the best for parking lots where the family needs to be.

my old man calls 8ft beds shortbeds, the longbeds are the 11 footers. :)

I agree with tanner, the 11 ft long chassis cab is quite the setup.

I am trying to find dad a GMT800 Ext. cab 11ft flatbed, as they do exist. I wish they offered the ext. cab on the GMT400s, even as an 8ft straight rail chassis cab, let alone the 11ft chassis cab.

back on topic.. :)
as far as having 4 full size doors for family use, why not get a burb again? 4 big doors, and a short wheelbase.

dad had a friend that has since passed on, and he ran a huge salvage yard (1,500+ 2 cyl. JDs, plus another many thousand of other brands, his estate auction took 8 days to sell) and dad asked him what is the perfect truck? his response was, you can have 10 trucks and none be the perfect one.

So, the solution is multiples. :) at least that is my theory.

Just learned the Vortec 454 is capable of running on propane using the same system as a LS (4.8,5.3,6.0,8.1L). They have crew cab short bed 454's all over the place.

I'm not looking for a short bed but either a single cab or crew cab w/ 454 prefer dually 5 speed 4x4. I get tired of rotten EX Cabs and my 2 hired hands being well over 6ft tall look funny trying to crawl in a 2 door EX Cab. I'd rather have a crew cab or nothing at all (might spur me into fixing the 00).

Just found a 93 SC Dually reg bed 454 4l80 4x4 (been parked at local mech shop for 3yrs), 95 SC Dually 10ft (9'6") C&C 454 5speed 4x4, 96 SC HD 454 5speed (very rough), and a 00 CCLB SRW 454 4L80 4x4. All under 3K except the 00 at 4500, leaning toward the 93 or 95 but the power bump of a vortec style set up would be nice.

Typically CCSB's bring a fair amount over their LB brothers.
