6.2L stud girdle

I agree with most everyone!! ARP studs are a plus but I wouldn't bother doing anything with the bottom end unless the engine is out so all demesnsions can be checked properly. things can get tweaked and without it being checked by a machinist you wont know. I would really like to have a p400 one day as they are recommended to handle 400hp

what does a machinist do to measure that cant be done at home? if a guy has the proper feelers and calipers its not really an issue.... but for sure if a person is half-assing it, problems will arise...
 
yes if you have the correct tools and take your time you should be alright but its always a good practice to have a machinist check your work; someone who works with machining every day.

almost 95 percent of the problems i have seen in machining is because the machinist does not check his work, or thinks that he is good enough that it does not need to be checked.... i am not one to give my money to someone else just to check work that i take enough pride in to only have to do it once....
