5 spd + Cruise control???

I've been thinking that myself. A Burb with a Handshaker? Perhaps it was a custom conversion? I know the factory did some weird things with options and whatnot but I've NEVER heard or seen a Burb with a handshaker for a trans.

After thinking about it its possible it was some sort of fleet vehicle. I guess if you ordered enough, GM would build most anything. But I do not think an individual could order one like that. Running the VIN through Compnine would tell you how it was built.

I remember this same "suburban with a 5spd" conversation before here.....and GM did in fact offer the suburban with a 5spd manual. Dont remember what years they offered it, but i know it was an option. A rare one at that

yeah because nobody has ever seen one ....... the last 'Burb I seen with a factory Handshaker was a 90 with a 6.2 and a 4spd........ before that was a '74 with a 350.

its like the factory 4.0L Bronco II thats is said to exist ....... nobody has ever seen one but it is listed in the Ford shop manual.

Little late, but my 96 has cruise and a 5 speed, and my buddy's 94 also has cruise and a 5 speed.

Maybe it's just my truck, but WOW does it kick out hard when you tap the brakes.
