A dab of POR to seal the bare metal edges of the holes and some rubber body plugs to pop in them?

Not sure if they make them that small, for 5/16ths, chrome snap in caps.

I have some rubber well nuts. run a screw into them and they mushroom from the back side.
Dont know if I could find them to get a pic for You though.
