My cousin blew his engine in his 2013 6.0l k2500 for the 2nd time and has decided to upgrade to diesel like he should have from the beginning.

No the dealership says he can't put a bale bed and Ranch Hand on a loaded 2015 duramax because of bumper sensors.

Does anyone know any way around this?

Pull the sensor, measure the hole and sensor. Drill the holes in appropriate size and places on the new bumper/bed. Install and done. You can buy aftermarket bumpers with the correct holes in them. What is the difference?

The camera may be a little more difficult since it is built into the tailgate handle. Might have to purchase an aftermarket camera.

Cab and chassis doesn't come w/ loaded leather etc.

We called the bale bed company (bramco) and they said they add holes for sensors.
The dealers haven't spec'd out any loaded '15's so that had us worried.

I doubt the Airbag Sensors are actually on the Bumper. If they were, the Airbags would be deploying with very little Impact.

But the Aftermarket Bumper Companies know what trucks do and don't have Sensors, so they make the Bumpers to be Compatible with them.

The dealership was concerned so I figured I better ask the guys that know.

Thanks, will share pics when both trucks come in. ;)

I'm sure there must be a way to disable the backup sensors. Hopefully it doesn't require a new BCM.

We're just going to assume those were just first year glitches. My cousin is done w/ his truck and I need a nice company truck so I think we're gonna do it.
