2 door tahoe/Yukon/Blazer 6.5

Okay with the disagree, let me requalify my assumption a little, sentimental & driver appeal is one thing, how much of that you willing to lose in a collision, insurable value if totaled is too much for me to pay for it in condition it is in, but is does have some power adders that up the ante some, so a buyer/seller negotiation point

True but what's a 1969 Dodge Charger worth to the insurance company ? 500$ if that ? Slap some orange paint and rebel flag on the roof and it's worth over 30,000$ in real life...
Had to use that example...
Yee haw.....gotta go save Uncle Jessie now.

They make special insurance for them kind of $$$ old cars, your choice to buy it or not, I looked at that for my truck since with all mods I'm upside down in mine if it were totaled IIRC $3k/yr to insure it for full replacement value, to replace with like kind/condition and that was at 21K valuation 5 years ago, wonder what it would cost now, 2dr Tahoe is unique so is K1500 with Diesl but I'm not so sure that justifys paying extra for unique, to some yes, not to me; heck the 1500 badge is a liability for mine with what I tow, in spite of the fact I have more power/brakes/ than any factory 6.5'd 3500 came with

You pinged on the mpg, what about the HP & Torque numbers seems way high for mos he has, and I'm not sure who it is but I've seen that intake set up over on Place when I used to hang out there, either it was a member there that built it or this guy copied it and a 95 with 212K price is too high, my 98 burb was only $6500 with only 130K on it

was the e-bay 2-door 6.5L owner using ricer math, or was that a good estimation on HP/TQ?

where could I look or try to find out:
1) How many of these rare 2 door breed were actually made and
2) How many known to still be alive ?
People are always surprised to see a 2 door with a diesel and I throw guess out when I say probably less than 500 still left but in reality I have no idea.

I have 94 Yukon 2 door with a 6.5TD sitting in front of my house right now

OK guys here was the bset reply I got so far. For what ever dumb reason they could only give me 3 years worth so I asked 94-96 but I am not sure if these figures are total production(including gassers) or 6.5 only. what do you guys think ?

The Chevrolet Tahoe had a 6.5 diesel engine starting in 1995. The Chevrolet
Blazer does not appear to have the diesel engine in the years you have asked
about. The GMC Yukon had a diesel engine starting in 1994.

Furthermore, the Chevrolet Blazer was no longer produced after 2005 and the GMC
Yukon and Chevrolet Tahoe with the 6.5 Diesel Engine are still being made.

You may also visit your local bookstore for The Standard Catalog of Chevrolet or
The Standard Catalog of GMC for more information on other year models.

I hope that the above information satisfied your inquiry. If you should need to
contact us in the future, simply reply to this message feel free to contact our
Chevrolet Customer Assistance Center at 1-800-222-1020. Customer Relationship
Specialists are available Monday through Saturday from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.,

He also states the tahoe and yukon are still being made with 6.5s ????:wtf::wtf::wtf:
Also a 1997 "Blazer" is a midsize and would not have a 6.5

GM stopped calling the K-5/fullsize blazers "Blazers" when they stopped putting the S-10 badges on the S-10 blazers. The K-5's were then called "Sports" since they were 2 door models, since so many people were confusing the fullsize for the S-10, and vice versa. Its funny though, since the early Sports were sent from the factory with Blazer on the sides and rear.........

Yep mine was the last year for the fullsize Blazer, the very next year they were called Tahoe's. I guess we'll have to look for the book mentioned in the reply. LMC list less than 3% of Blazers as having the 6.5.
