It's okay. Became way too pro wrestling-ish IMO. I went to the Charlotte race last year and probably won't go out of my way to see one again. I stayed with a friend in Mooresville, so it was neat to see all the shops and their spreads.

Left turn, left turn, left turn.....this last one's tricky to remember.... left turn.

NHRA is more spectator friendly IMO.

It's not so popular up here in the north. We don't have many places to put a track that doesn't have a mountain in the middle.

yup, cant watch it with the intimidater. dont like the girl in it this year or yota. hate Rick Hendrick racing too :nono:):h

you dont like dana capatrick (sp?). she can drive. i went to school with a girl whos dad built drag cars and she was the coolest girl in my school to talk to she knew more about muscle cars and going fast then me and a couple of my buddies. and i was jealouse as hell she and him had built her 2 cars before she was 16 they where dodges but for the life of me i cant remember what they are now. i saw he the other day and shes drivin a tricked out Ram charger now. and to top it all of she is really good lookin!

I love any kind of Racing that is not to political. I use to Love Nascar until they sold out all the fans that got them there and they just suck up to Corporate America now. I still watch it and like the drivers that still have personalities and are not little Nascar mind numb robots. Since Dale died it has really gotten C@#!@# S&&^% as the drivers don't really have a strong leader. Also the CoT doesn't leave much to the imagination. I wonder when they are going to the EoT (Engine of Tomorrow) so they have even less innovation. Racing use to be about trying and learning new ways to build a car, or whatever you are racing, so it will go faster stop quicker and have more reliability than the competition.

For the old timers remember Smokey Yunick. Ah, there was an innovative racer that the Frances really hated because he would build a car to the rules they put out and then when they would say that isn't what they meant to say he would break it off in their ### and then Nascar would disqualify his car. But a lot of his designing ended up on the race cars.

I do watch races and enjoy some of the drivers still.

I have given up on watching high $$$ corporate racing, & have taken a liking to local circle track racing, "run what ya brung racing" they have in Waycross & other places where the little guy shows up with a car on a trailer, and runs it until he breaks the car.

I have been a NASCAR and racing fan since the mid to late 90's. I remember watching it whenever it was on say TBS, or TNN. And most times it was tape delayed so I was watching a race that was from that afternoon that night. But I was 12 or 13 years old and really didn't know the difference, but loved watching it. Was an Dale Sr. and Alan Kulwicki fan. My dad was Chevy guy and no one was a bigger Chevy guy then Sr. as he was driving the GM Goodwrech car and Kulwicki was from nearby Wisconsin. Watched plenty of open wheel racing as well, but have drifted off in the past decade. Watching that is where I started following Tony Stewart. I have been a fan of his ever since. Love how he drives, how he has no problem speaking his mind unlike so many of the guys now days. I watch racing every weekend, and any other time I can find it. I love it. I know there is plenty to bitch about it, but for the most part, its a damn good sport. It use to be my #2 or #3 favorite sport, but in the last 6 or 7 years it has been my favorite.

I like the concept of nascar, but it isn't marketed to every demographic that it should be. It seems to focus on well people like us. They need to make it more mainstream.

I enjoy the older Nascar races where the car and the driver made a difference. Now all the cars are basically the same and the win is up to the driver. Do any of these cars resemble anything you see on the dealer lots? Do they run an engine made from the OEM manufacturer?
