1994 turbo 6.5 dumb question don't laugh

The EGR/Baro Sensor located on the driver's side of the firewall on your 6.5 Turbo Diesel. This sensor fits all 94 and newer 6.5TD's in all vehicles. On VIN "S" engines, it is plumbed into the EGR valve circuit to give feedback to the PCM on the EGR's position. On VIN "F" engines, it is left with no tubing on the connector port for it to read ambiant barometric pressure and give feedback to the PCM.

When it fails it will give codes 31 or 33, also sometimes codes 32, 44 and 45 for 94-95 vehicles. For 96 and newer the codes are P0405 or P0406, and sometimes P0400, P0401, P0402, and P0404.

This sensor MUST NOT to be confused with the Boost Sensor located on the intake manifold. Although they appear the same, the plug harness is different and it is calibrated differently internally
Learning is great....quess we know now why it's unpluged....and what I was calling a MAF is a boost sensor......the info's here for others now

This EGR connection may be why the altitude correction in vin F ECM's don't appear to do anything. Interesting angle to look into. Funny if a vin F coding error made a part GM installed under the hood a decoration. I'll have to ask if the tables may be EGR tables rather than the assumed altitude tables.

It will fail, and PMD's only fail at night on highways during snowstorms when exactly half way between the nearest exits.

Someday yes..... all DS4 trucks should keep a spare, you would'int drive without a spare tire (never know when you will need it)

You're right, and I need to get a spare. I'll be visiting your web site Leroy!

Took one off the ip on Larry the other day.... what a pita. Put one on a heat sink if for no other reason than when it does go you can actually get to it without removing the intake. Make things a little easier when it goes in the middle of that snowstorm!:D

Claker came back to the shop today...should [ve made a video.....see was making a metalic knock......found it fast #7 had a spllt rocker '''''backto cluckin right ....still no stall or any other issues till this split rocker..3-1 Montreal over Boston end of second peroid

On your web site, You may want to correct more than a couple spelling errors. convertion, controll, swaping, pepole and vehicles.?If Below is a copied from your web site quote. And no I am not an English teacher

This product is the OptiShift transmission controller. It is used when you have the need such as an engine convertion. Anytime you need to controll a 4L80E. Its a perfect controller for the 6.5 diesel engine when swaping from a DS4 to a DB2 injection pump. Alot of pepole are doing custom engine swaps and need a controller such as a Cummins or Isuzu diesels into other vehicles.?If

Control was spelled controll ;)

I like the pepole, pee-pole...like peeing against a fence post,..could get funny if one tries that on a electr fence pole :hihi:

You should have seen the angus reid survey I had not long ago, It asks if I have heard of www.yp.ca so I say no. It then asks what is the first thing that comes to mind when I read it. Hmm YP well I write down WHY PEE, well cause I gotta use the toilet. Further into the survey I find out YP stands for Yellow Pages. I can see that web site being a hit with Google. and while VEHICLES is spelled correctly, It is what directly follows it that is not, There should be spaces. "vehicles.?If"
