JiF edit - Link to Non-supporting Vendor FalconGlobal removed.

(FWIW - original price quoted was $4999/set. Oops.)

I think I could have completely custom pistons made for that price. Hopefully it has 1 too many numbers in the price.

You could buy a short block for that much money! What is this guy thinking??? I'd be half tempted to email him on ebay and ask what makes those pistons worth 5K!

Read the complete listing. Down in the description it SAYS

**The price is for a set of 8 pistons with rings.**

The local parts store here gets near $400 just for a set of rings.

That is not at all a bad price for a complete set with rings.

I bought a set of new Pistons for my engine last summer for $125 off ebay and then another $35 for a complete set of Military chrome rings.

Here is a copy of what it reads farther into the listing
MAHLE-CELVITE 6.5L DIESEL PISTONS

This listing is for a set of eight (8) MAHLE-Clevite pistons (18.5:1 CR) with matching Perfect Circle rings for 1992-06 Chevrolet/GMC 6.5L V-8 diesel engines. P/N 224-3481HA+41718. Our catalogs list these pistons for "marine" applications, but many of our customers use these in regular truck applications. Please be sure these will work for your application before

Actually, that's a good deal for the set of 8, -particularly since Mahle discontinued the low compression marine pistons.

Too bad they are standard bore size.......

The only issue is that, unless you have a late 6.2 the cylinder walls are not thick enough to bore the holes out to 6.5 with reliability. Stock 6.5 is about .080 larger than the 6.2

Thats a tad too far to gamble me thinks.

The 599 blocks were used in the last couple years of the 6.2 and also used with the 6.5.

I think the Original price was a misprint. Dude forgot the decimal point.

That's what I read, I doubt my 84 is a 599 block, lol.
