1500HD vs 2500?

Is it worth me waiting until we go to visit in-laws in Kilgore, TX. LOL
I just can't find anything I like around here. Anything nice has either been hot-rodded or has a ball in the bed.

Kilgore is roughly 1/3 of the way from Shreveport to Dallas along I-20. We are not sure yet but I expect sometime in the next month or so. I will be towing a trailer, with our 67 Mustang and other misc. stuff on it, back home from Kilgore when we leave TX. I was hoping to find a truck before then but if I wait until I get to TX I will have to feel extremely confident in the truck for obvious reasons. I don't have time to work on it all the time or I would still have the burb. I want an very reliable, low maintenance, truck.

Its been great for me, but its basicaly a machine. I see no reason to have any problems from it. Feel free to have it inspected by third party.
Alitle background on the truck from PO. It was owned by a doctor that used it as his daily driver. He had a long commute of 80ish miles a day. So, most of the miles are hwy miles.
I sure don't want to sell something thats a POS because it would not be good for business or my rep around the forums.

Sorry Leroy. I couldn't wait. Found me an 03 1500HD w/102,000 miles. I prefer cloth and a little scared of quadra steer's extra parts for longevity and maintenance. Bought it today. I'm going to throw some shocks on it and look forward to the crappy tires wearing out. In the mean time I will look for some more wheels too. Not a huge fan of the narrow width of the PYOs and one is curbed.

Let me know what you find, if its still not up on your end Im going to raise hell with Ebay.

That link is working. It sure looks nice. Hate that our trip is not set yet or I would have been looking forward to getting it. She is now talking about waiting until Fall. I usually prefer that due to TX heat but... Oh well.
