Our suburban is having some issues it started very intermittent but has gotten worse lately.

It has the digital dual zone climate control and sometimes the driver side will blow hot and the passenger will be cold with both set on 60. Today both are blowing hot with it set on 60.

I'm thinking it could be the control it's self. The
control unit is very hot to the touch.

When it was just the driver side getting hot I was thinking the blend door but since both are doing it now I'm not sure.

Ps I know the a.c. Is working since the rear ac blows good and cold

Its the actuators, VERY common problem. You can pull them out, take them apart, clean out the old grease and contacts, put fresh dialectric grease in them, and put them back together. What happens is GM used a white lithium instead of a dialectricvgrease in them, and over time it hardens and loses connection on the sensor portion that tells the control head what position it is in, and when that happens it defaults to full hot. The drivers side actuator is located just over the trans tunnel and is easy to get to, not sure where the other one is.

Thanks I'll check that first I know both of the rear ones went bad and I replaced them didnt know you could clean them
