NVW, I gladly would but I can't get the SES light to stay off. Even while running, I turned the SES light off with GMTDScan and it popped right back on within about 1 second. Can't do a time set or TDCO set with the SES on.

All: Putting my engine back together and having a brain freeze... With the timing set at TDC (crank timing mark at 1200 and cam timing mark at 600) where should the IP pin be? If I remember correctly it's 1200 and the pin goes in the elongated hole in the gear. Thanks for your help.

All: About to put my engine back together. It will retain it's stock bore, pistons, and deck height. How much would .010 thicker head gaskets affect compression ratio, cylinder volume, and performance? Thanks.

Your were correct...3/8 coarse. Now that the engine is out, I can say it's a 599 block.

Thanks for the info... Not knowing the block number...I'll make an assumption and go with the 3/8 coarse. If it's wrong, I can always exchange them.

Does anybody know off the top of their head what the size and threading is on the Trans to Engine Block Bolts? (I believe they're metric?) I need to buy some bolts for my engine stand. Thanks.

All: Realize the reputation that SS Diesel has WRT injectors, etc. However, seeing as I highly doubt they are grinding their own camshafts, has anyone had any experience with their "Performance Roller Camshaft Kit"? Thanks.

Understood on the scrap part...it all depends on how "cheap" they turn out to be. I am just getting into the Detroit Diesels, previously had 2 Duramax's and 2 Powerstrokes. I like my 6.5 so far - it's almost like working on an old 350 and much cheaper than my previous Diesels.

All: I have the opportunity to pick up 3 6.2's for cheap... I would likely part 2 of them out and maybe save one for a future project. What parts are in demand on these? Thanks.
