    thanks for everything. it sounds like it can be done with ease. mainly i will have to swap the ip and do something with the oil cooler. The problem i see i am going to have is the oil cooler in the 94 messed up from the wreck. thefermanator stated i can easily tell which ip i have. Anyone...

    I was wondering what would have to be done to take a 94 6.5 with ds 4 and put it in a 96 with a blown 6.5 engine. Is it a out of one into another with all the connections or is there going to be some moding that I am going to have to do. Any help would be apprieciated. Thanks in advance.

    I have 94 gmc 6.5l 2wd that i had wrecked and was wondering what u would have to do to mount the tranny on a 93 gmc 6.5 l 4wd? can you just change the tail houseing or would you have to rebuild it and change the output shaft. if thats the case i should just find me a 4wd tranny or get a rebuilt...

    6.5 swap question

    Thanks for the replys. My 94 has the gm screw up of the ip that has been replaced 2 times. once on them and once on us. with it being obd 1 and obd 11 will the ecm's need to be replaced or can i just order one from heath and tell them what i am doin and they can program accourdingly?

    I have a 94 6.5 cc lwb 2wd and was goin to put it in a 96 cc long dually 4x4 that already has a 6.5. Is it a direct replacement or r there things that need to be done? Any input would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
