    PCM/s

Anybody have a line on dead PCM's? I need a couple different ones. Any Hummer 6.5TD 96- 01 version will work on the one hand. The other one i really need is OBD1 from 1993-95 and is not found in Hummers but in heavy duty GM pickups that use the 5068 IP's. Part# 16183977 ECM (1994-1995) or...

    6.5 Ideal Cruise Rpm?

    Lol I meant 2900 rpm not 26900!!

    6.5 Ideal Cruise Rpm?

First i have ever heard about a different gear set for our hubs. There is a 12k from 10k upgrade but as far as i know the top gear change is only to facilitate the larger updated input CV shaft. My diffs are Torsion 1 and are a 2:56 ratio. Wouldn't change a thing at this point. Truck runs very...

    6.5 Ideal Cruise Rpm?

I got way different gearing i guess. I run steady 80-85mph at 3000rpm average. No issues yet at 130k miles. 26900 gets me 70-75ish.

    Too much fuel pressure?

I have my fuel pressure sender right above the IP within 3 inches of the input. I have an air bleeder there as well. I float my pressure manualy from the dash using a PWM controlled Raptor 150 30psi pump which also has a manual internal output PSI set feature... Over the last 5kmiles i have...

    Engine Oil Temp??

Hey guys. I working on a small project and need to measure engine oil temps or get some data on what our average peak oil temps might be. I have not been able to find any info as of yet. Wondering if anyone here has installed a temp sensor for this and where is the best place to install it to...

Engine Died w/o Warning... No Start

Changing resistors at random will do nothing without going through a calibration sequence and in fact could set a code. Its not the PMD in my opinion. Fix the lower number codes first,, in this case the low coolant sensor, sometime the higher ones will dissappear. The next three codes up are...

Help with engine cast # and year

Not sure if that is the date code. Looks like the casting code off the drivers side near the bell housing. Is there a number on the passenger side in the same spot?? That would be the date code. For example on my engine it says 1255506 on the d side meaning its a 506 casting (last 3 letters) and...

6.5L Turbo Diesel Hummer H1 1999 - Erratic RPM and throttle problems

Could be the APP but in most cases it will drop a code if any of the three signals are mismatched. To me i favor the trace with the oscilliscope on the optical sensor output and then also on the processed combined signal to the PMD from the PCM. I am almost leaning towards a cold solder joint on...

    Raptor Install

Wow I think my RP150 pump only had a one year warranty. Still if it lasts 5 years i would be impressed. Seems to me the pump should come apart and the shaft O ring should be replaceable. I have not had mine apart yet although when i first got it i was tempted to look inside. Its good they...

    Raptor Install

On top of my engine you can fry eggs for and likely bake brownies too!! LOL its true the Auger gauges are ussualy used in kitchen gear. They seem real nice though!!

    Raptor Install

I have now installed the fuel controller/reader for the PWM along with a EGT probe. I am using some Auber gauges for the readers. Works very well. The only major change to the plan was adding a presision 5 turn knob and lock.
