    F Fan clutch mod - the thermostatic clutch fan on these trucks is famous for engaging too late to do much good... if yours isn't kicking in enough to do the job, you should replace it with a tuned severe-duty fan clutch, but here's a DIY mod that just might work for you... try this one first...

    Should be open when brake is pushed, I think... the OBDI mod activated the lock when switched to ground.

    Does your TCC (Torque Converter Lock) behave normally when driving? Does this 'bang' happen at a particular RPM? (just things to consider; I may not be around much to talk about it, but there used to be some stuff in the Library on TCC issues, and a few of the guys have done mods on the OBDI...

    I think it's a 99 ... the OBDII should relearn, but I've seen the need to do that on more than one occasion. If the new PMD has no resistor at all, it can cause issues

    Agree with Will about the tubing. You can also spray some contact cleaner into that connector and let that shine it up a bit. What does the other end look like? Replacing the IP is a big, expensive job... last resort stuff. There are lots of cheap steps before that, and all those things...
