starter is not touching the flex plate tried to shake the bell housing cover since i cant get it out but nothing is sitting in it flex plate and torque convertor looks normal

i got the four bolts out they were torqued in there pretty good but i cant get the plate out due to the Y exhaust is there a trike to get it out without removing the exhaust?
