Got engine painted and reassembled sill waiting to sand blast the oil pan and a few other parts, still need to get a few thing cleaned up and painted or powder coated.
I ve got the engine back and I m cleaning up some parts now and reassembling the engine I will get some pictures posted Monday and hopefully get the engine painted.
I got a call from the machine shop and they said it would be a good idea and put rings in it and clean up the cylinder walls they said it would be about $800 and i bough the rings they were $300, I dont even want to know how much ive spent on everything so far but I m this deep in why stop now.
Either Cummins is the way to go 4bt or 6bt these engines are built to last and hold up they can make good horse power and torque, how heavy of a trailer are you pulling?
spent the money and bough new main and rod bearings and main stud kit also decided to sent the engine to the machine shop and put the new bearings in and check the line bore and possibly put rings in it.

That sound pretty easy the 350 coming out has a crank postion sensor with three wires going to it, I haven t got the gasser out yet but hope to in the next couple weeks.
To help with driveline angle and if I m on the trail I can swap the front or rear driveshaft they will be the same length, plus if i ever decide to go with an nv5600 the onlt drive shaft that will have to be modified will be the short shaft between th trans and t-case.
