Ozzie, glad to hear you like the tires because I was thinking of purchasing a set, didnt like the toyos. Also thanks for the heads up on the rubbing. I was going to go with 285s this time but I guess I 'll stick with the 265s as I have not had a rubbing problem with them at all.
The subject was popular on the DP site but died right off. If the product was that great they would have had to make a part 2 to the thread. I'll stick with power service. Bill hows things going. Almost time for another gtg.
I used to run either Mobil or sunoco fuel and thought my milage was decent. Recently I switched to shell and saw a significant improvement. Try changing to a different supplier and see if that helps.
I'm no expert but I cant see how coolant gets back into the fuel filter. Are you using an additive in the fuel that might have a red tint to it? like tranny fluid.
Check your fluids first and make sure your levels are good, also when is the last time you changed the tranny fluid and filter. Also these trucks react differently when they are subjected to cold, my truck wont go into overdrive until the tranny warms up, but it is normal. Right now its 20...
I think a polished aluminum would look good and most if not all are treated with a clear coat protecting the rim and making clean up a snap. Had a set on my old dodge for about 8 years and when i sold the truck they still looked great. I had them on all year long ,and I live in the northeast.
Actually the lbz has a decreased compression ration which resulted in an increase in hp, according to what I have read. And the kick ass turbo mouthpiece helps out also.
AFE makes the blade runner turbo mouthpiece. Direct bolt on with no modifications, but pricey, over $200 I believe. Its made of aluminum and has fins to channel air flow.
The fuel pressure relief valves on the lly's are notoriously weak, whent using a tuner or programmer on higher horsepower settings they tend to open up and defuel the engine. You can either shim the valve yourself for about $10, ppe shim kit, or get a valve for an lbz, $135, .But before doing...
x2 on the fuel pressure regulator, that will cause an erratic idle, if the fuel pressure relief valve goes bad the vehicle will fall flat under hard acceleration.
12,000 was the most, 10,000lbs of small excavator and 2000lbs of trailer. No trailer brakes though dont have a brake controller, luckily mostley on the highway.
