MMMM, 2 speed = Powerglide?
I have one in my '64 C-10 . works great but will start to leak if I don't run it at least every month. Original 283 2bbl, 2speed and diff., all need new seals.
Sorry for the slight detour off topic, but now I'm subscribed. ;)

Nice install.
GM Guy, that's a fricking good idea, now to find a place under the Burb to fit a flat tank of sorts.
Thanks for another project idea, like I really needed it.:rolleyes5:

Cool!
sctrailrider; It IS a tool box, and it's not so deep as to loose things in the black hole at the bottom!
I NEED to empty my boxes (several) at least once a year to stop the inevitable migration of tools and stuff to the bottom... and to remind myself what I have and WHERE it is.
Sorry...
Been there, I agree with him. It's a good time to de-rust and primer/paint too.
They're not that heavy when empty, and doing it yourself is less stressful for me anyway.
Good luck.
Don't forget eye protection!
Any Pictures? I'm not even sure which one I have now.
What is the most likely point of leaks besides the Shrader valve on the compressor?
Ferm, how much did you pay for the Sanden, if you remember?
Thanks for the info, guys.
Thanks for all of the useful data, Gents.
I just recharged my system today, and added a big air dam under the front bumper (homegrown). It should decrease airflow under the Burb while forcing more air through the cooling stack.
I have a very good radiator and A/C shop not too far away. Last...
Did you use a drill? Sorry for the simple question. I've tried several fittings with moderate success, none really satisfying. I have now officially tired of washing and oiling the S&B filter and want a ram air mod. I was looking at small hot rod style hood scoops too.
I have used RTV silicone before. It would help keep the hose from getting TOO stuck = they were easier to get off.
The PIA came when I had to clean the old silicone off to put the new hose on. Now, I just smooth the sharp barbs down some, or just buy the smoother 'bulb' end fittings when I can...
Depending on the distance between the fins, I have used 2 old butter knives, a pair of ground down old bastard files, flatnose pliers, and a spring hook. Basically always putting a piece of metal on each side of the bent fin.
I've filtered old coolant with a recently outgrown t-shirt (not worn...
I have measured with a tread depth gauge at various placed on each tire, logging results and comparing apples & apples. Time consuming and a pain in the eyes. BUT
Since tires are the 2nd biggest investment over the life of the average vehicle (fuel 1st), I always like wear to be even. I have...
Try to make a skid plate to protect the x-over from rocks and animals.
I've saved several pieces/parts from bad damage this way over the years.
It's not rocket science.
;)
:hihi:
Wow, I just got to a computer after 3,200 s l o w miles. I'm SOOO glad to hear you're OK!

Wow, a new baby AND a new turbo; a very ambitious man.
I seem to remember ToysRus sold diapers and formula at cost to get people into the store. I don't know if they still do.
The first 40 days is a good time for a project....
Better for all concerned.

Sounds great, but "Bison" is right; 3 foot wide makes much more useful room. You want too much room rather than not enough.
I've had both sizes. It's a little more of a stretch to plug things in and chase rolling pieces, but I have long arms. Maybe 2 1/2 feet works for you. I have bad memories...
