    Australian Nissan Patrol conversion

Amazing. Thanks for the diesel porn. Reminds me of stuffing a hemi into a (Ford) Courier. 4 mufflers and almost no legroom, but lots of fun. EH, I was young and single. You've made an investment in your enjoyment, and that's a great thing to do. Best to both, and Welcome aboard!

    testing a cheap lift pump

Update: I bought this; Longacre 46535 electric Gauge, Fuel Pressure 0-15 PSI Google it. It comes with everything except the brass T and hose barbs for same. I love it and wish I had done this when I first bought the Burb. NO it is not cheap. I wasted enough money on cheap-o's and much...

    What I did today

Big T, do prefer the pick a part by the 91 or Beach or Katella? They're not all the same!

    What I did today

Replaced the prefilter and main diesel filters, about 10k miles on each. The new electronic FP gauge is great. almost as fun as the boost gauge.

    Fuel pressure gauge

Did I mention the boost and fp gauges are mounted in dash where SOME factory radios are? The junction asm I connected to is under the dash to the left of the brake pedal, just behind the parking brake mount. My radio is in dash right under the center a/c vents.

    Fuel pressure gauge

I should be ashamed but at this stage of life I feel lucky to get it ok. I poked the junction assembly with my volt meter until I found a good 12 v pin on when key is on run engine, and spliced into the cigarette lighter wire for a constant 12 v. I already had a separate ground for the boost...

    Fuel pressure gauge

Update; Longacre electronic gauge installed in dash, works great. It has 2 warning set points; first is a solid red light second is flashing res. These are adjustable, mine are set for 3psi and 1psi. It dropped down to 3 psi and I replaced the element in the Racor prefilter. There is a small but...

How Often do you Wash your Truck?

HA! Wash, like with some kind of soap? Only if I'm prepping for paint, so I think that's once in the last 8 years; De-rusted and painted the roof. It's not dirty, that's sunshield solar protection and anti-theft. Windows and lights get cleaned constantly, that's a safety issue.

    Lightning my leaf springs

Josh, How goes it? I'm wanting to do the same on my Burb. It's heavy tow days are done. Looking forward to a smoother ride.

A Better Oil Catch Can. Maybe?

I'm pretty sure I posted them here (I don't post to any other site), but can't find them. Is there a secret archive here that holds our old pics?

A Better Oil Catch Can. Maybe?

I made something like that from a 3" black ABS with a screw on 'cleanout' cemented on the top and a screw on cap fitting on the bottom, 1" copper fittings and some marine clear tubing. I had no problems with the tubes, it works very well. Seems like I posted pics of it but I may remember wrong...
