Found my own answer today at the parts store. They had a coil spring booster that goes under the spring...looks like a donut, in two thicknesses. That should raise up the front and level it out.
Anybody know of a bolt kit for an engine install? Specifically, I'd like to replace all the old, rusty bolts that came off my truck with new hardware. Stainless?! Or is there a hardware and fastener list out there somewhere that shows what's what?
If you do a Internet search for just the part number, Energy Suspension 3.1152, it comes up on several websites as correct for Chevy pickups and Suburbans with the 6.5L Diesel, and 454. But if you go to a parts seller and do a search for 99 Chevy C3500 w 6.5L Diesel, you're just as likely to...
@Twisted Steel Performance ... yes, that's what I'm saying. I checked five or six parts suppliers, and got conflicting information. Then went to the source, and still was doubtful...so I came back here to ask, hoping somebody might pipe up who had actually bought and installed one. There's a...
@JayTheCPA Thank you so much for your reply! I was just about ready to order and risk it. My problem comes from conflicting information/part #'s on supplier websites. That, and tales of interference fitting I ran across here on TTS.
The tranny mount, I'm almost positive about that one...
99 Chevy C3500 6.5L Diesel. Odometer is inop...and I messed it up trying to fix it! Need replacement cluster FOR DIESEL. 150K miles, or less, much preferred...as this is the estimated true mileage. Thanks!
Well crap on me! My 99 sets me in with this lot. But this is good news...because it's exactly what I needed to know! Luckily I didn't scrap the metal fan...but I'll mount them both just to get an eyeball on it and make sure.
Absolutely right! As with anything, as systems approach is best.
@Husker6.5 I viewed Leroy's centrifugal filter kit, and talked to him about it. Been looking at centrifugal filters and oil spinners for quite some time. His kit works just as well as I'd expect...and it look high-speed! So, it's definitely under consideration.
Yea, it sure does! Amsoil's Single Remote Oil-Filter Bypass kit has full flow adapter, and I oil fill cap return setup, just like I was looking at elsewhere.
Can anyone tell me if the Duramax shares a similar oil system to the 6.5L? Such as a spin-on oil filter....are the oil fill caps the same? I'm asking because I'm looking at an oil bypass filtration kit made for the Duramax, and wondering if something could be put together for my 6.5. Thanks!
Is this, or is this not the correct part number to mount the 6.5L Diesel and the 5-speed NV4500 in a Chevy? I'm seeing conflicting information and need a definitive answer. Thanks!
