Very nice work on your battery cables Nate, and I'll bet she spins over very enthusiastically now! I'm somewhat envious of you right now, as your at my favorite stage of a project. Preparing to bring it to life! Try getting some sleep tonight. :D
Matt
Yup, using the proper source definitely saves time, and money. I don't buy batteries from the auto parts either, as we have a Continental Battery warehouse here, and for the 3 year free replacement 850 CCA batteries for my truck, they're $88. At the auto parts they're $130.
Your getting...
There is nothing that motivates a man quite like hearing his creation roar to life! Thats always one of the most exciting moments in any build. ;)
Matt
Man, you guys got to stop that, or I'm going to need a wheel barrow just to carry my head around in, at the rate its swelling up. :D Thanks Nate, and you have very clean looking engine! ;)
Matt
Wow, I go out of town for 4 days, just to come back, and find your nearly done! Very nice work Nate, and nice job on the gasket matching. I bet the whole rocker deal was a bit frustrating, but I'm glad HS made it right. :)
Matt
Thats a sweet looking setup Nate! I'm a bit jealous, but I can't complain, as my OE Delco pump seems to be taking care of business for now. Like the Raptor. :)
Matt
Wow, I'm really sorry to hear that Leo. I wonder what could have happened to that block to have made so many head bolt threads get weak? Thats crazy.
Matt
Now I know what I'm going to do! I'm going to start my pull with the converter unlocked, so it looks like I have really awesome low end torque, then at about 3k, I'll hit the manual lockup switch, so I can get good high rpm readings! :D
Wow Nate, those are some tuff breaks on the rockers, and turbo. At least your getting it taken care of. I like the way your taking your time, and doing it right, even if it means taking the heads back off to redo the locktite. :D Fantastic work Nate, and this should turn out to be one...
