    Heater fuse keeps blowing

Just a thought. Check for a mouse nest in the heater box. I had one in my jeep. It not only blew the fuse but also took out the blower motor. It also burned out the resistor, which burned out again in less than a year. Cheap part or an issue?

    Exhaust manifold gasket leak

I used these, but I have custom stainless headers with locking header bolts on my motor home. http://catalog.remflex.com/SearchResults.asp?searching=Y&sort=13&search=gm+6+5+L&show=10&page=2 And I found a set on ebay for half the price.

    Oil leak

Well, I finally got the leaky hose off using a basin wrench. It worked, but I'm wondering what it will be like replacing it? It was leaking in the middle of the hose, no rub marks that I could see.

What did you do with your GMT400 today...or yesterday....

Changed the exhaust tip to straight, as the one that turned down always burned the grass on start up. I had to cut to facilitate it though.

    Oil leak

We have two of those locally, but I figured it was the right type of hose, given where I got it.

    Oil leak

Yesterday I went to replace the fuel filter because it had been leaking. I thought the fuel leak was washing oil residue off the back of the engine. The drippings were black, but smelled like fuel. After the filter replacement, I started it to check for fuel leaks, but saw oil dripping from...

    question

I used to use all kinds of oil, back when I used to commute 70 miles one way to work. Not so much for the lubrication, but to help with the cost of the commute. I used WVO, UMO, biodiesel, kerosene and/or any mixture of them. Any thing that was used always went through a filter 2-5 microns...

My oil pan just blew up

On the oil pan. I got mine from Leroy, but if he can't, try Heath. I was going to get one from Bill, but he couldn't get to me in the time frame I wanted. Although, I still have the custom one that came from Matt at Peninsular and I think Jay has one too.

    Over/underdrive

The Detroit would be cool, but not practical for a daily driver. I do like the Cummins R2.8 crate engine though. It's pretty much plug and play. https://repower.cummins.com/shop

I heard back from NWFab. They do have one that will fit my jeep. It will add 8 inches to my driveline. I haven't asked particular questions yet (price, gear ratios or availability) yet.

Years ago I was looking at installing a 2 speed gear splitter on my K2500. I had located one that goes between the transmission and the transfer case, that way you could use it in 2X4 and 4X4 (not like gear vendors that only work in 2X4). I never pulled the trigger, but now am thinking of...

Weight of a complete 6.5 motor

So, about the same as 4BT, except less room in the engine bay for exhaust, turbo and such.
