For the sensor I was thinking of having both the factory and the second in the back of the head. But it seems like it wont be necessary. :)
I know the big issue is cooling for these engines and the newer water pumps help with that. Is it possible to put a temp sensor in the back of the head by #8 to keep an even closer eye, or is it not necessarily important? If so I would put in a separate gauge.

Looking at the directions for the studs they recommend their "tap/thread chaser" its $50 on Amazon. [emoji33] would a regular tap work? My buddy has a huge tap and die set.
Also which bolt holes go in water jackets for sealant purposes? Or just seal them all?
I'm getting the engine torn down and going to be ordering some parts soon. I'm wondering can I take the headbolts out and put the ARP studs in without putting new gaskets in?
Also if I get the ATT do I need to do studs, or would the head bolts be ok since there are no leaks?

I've pretty much made up my mind to stay with the auto. I've already got it, just need to get the controller when I swap. Plus I dont have to find all the manual parts or another tranny. :)
Found the spin on one but there's 2 different a.c. delco's again with a huge price difference. In not worried about spending more money. Just would like to know if one is better, more proper than the other?
