The elbows are made in china, which for what they are isn't so bad.. The ones I used (help parts) had green orings that basically melted and failed within the first 4000 miles of use. Recommendation: Use regular old black rubber orings in place of the green ones.
^^Yes. The rivet holes in the stamped control arms are slightly bigger than the holes in the ball joint. It creates a step under the head of the rivet.
When I did my 93 (upper and lower 16 rivets total) I chose to very carefully with a cutting torch, snip the rivet heads off, let cool, hit em a cut off wheel just enough to remove the slag and scale, drill a 1/8" hole all the way out the bottom to let the flame through, fire up the torch again...
TH700R4's need only +12v to the one of the 4 pins on the left front of the case plug. IIRC it's the front inner pin. This is just for locking the torque converter clutch. How you choose to switch it can be a simple toggle or some control device.

Would venture a guess its a pump explosion. It ramped up pressure when the ecm detected a slip, most likely the TCC apply valve bore wear problem in the aluminum valve body on these 4L60's.
My 2000 Camaro did this (minus the outright failure) there about 10 years ago and IIRC was accompanied by...
GM fitted nice SS west coast style mirrors on these year trucks. HD, cab and chassis, dually.
Pete cabs are more straight up than a pickup. Brackets would need some rework for sure.
Those drill doctors always seemed like a toy to me but hey if they work (or can get them to work to suit) they might be worth the money. Thought I remember seeing a 3/4" capacity version, dunno if it's still available. Would like to try one before I buy..
Right now I use Greenfield Chicago...
Rust, heavy mill scale and weld/torch slag will mow through the best drills around. Proper feeds and speeds on clean material and you drill set will last you a long time. Better to go slower on SFPM than faster.
A quality US Made HSS black oxide jobber length fractional set 1/16" to 1/2" will...
Could be your bed rattling on the frame. Check torque and see if any of the little disc cushions are missing. May even check spot welds on cab and bed bracing as well.
For the exhaust, try a slash cut tip that fits tight on the tailpipe. The straight cut can cause unwanted resonance sometimes..
