How do you store your pickup bed topper?

Here is my suggestion that doesn't take up garage space. Simple and effective. I'm sure you can come up with something that involves your Ferguson to lift it off.

    R/C Batteries

As far as the voltage goes you should have no problems. I don't see how you get a battery that size into anything that uses such a small battery. The only issue I see is the low voltage cutoff point of the electronics in the truck. Of course its going to take a long time to drain a 5200mAh...

GM HEI. The H stands for Headache. It is a good ignition when its working. You end up chasing your tail when they have problems.

    1952 Ferguson TO30

The whole time I am reading about you adding ignition parts I am thinking "it needs an electronic conversion!" :D I've done a few of the electronic conversions in the past. I have used the Pertronix kit as well on a Corvair. 20 years later and its still going trouble free. There are...

    R/C Batteries

You have 2 batteries made from different materials. The 2 cell lipo is a nominal 7.4 volts. Each cell is 4.2 volts fully charged and 3.0 volts completely discharged The green pack is probably NiMH (nickel metal hydride) 1.2-1.5 volts fully charged per cell and .9 volts completely discharged...

How do you guys store engines?

Dear Nate, I think you have a problem. Counseling may need to be in your future. There is a great counselor in Toledo that may be able to help you. PM for the address. P.S. bring all your parts with you. :D Seriously that is a great collection and I believe that I would need to be...

I was thinking the same thing. Not that ever have seen one, but I thought the n/a 6.5 had a different upper intake plenum like the earlier n/a 6.2

Something missing here. Just can't place it... 2000 Crew Cab 6.5 diesel

I'm curious as to what they did with the passenger side exhaust manifold. Can't you go to the corner store and buy two of the GM turbos for a quarter? Why eliminate it? Whats the tuning like? Smoke show?

That's a tough call to make. There is info out there both ways as to use o-rings with MLS or not. What is leaking? Compression to coolant passage? Coolant to the outside? Coolant into the cylinder? After you pull it apart I would verify that the deck and heads are flat.

I don't remember the protrusion exactly .010" maybe. I don't remember the wire size either. They were stainless and I used them with Felpro gaskets the first time. When I switched to MLS I wanted to make the deck flat again. I needed to get it back on the road so I risked it and put it...

Yes, the Quadstar piece. I had thought about that. This tool is so inexpensive that the shipping two ways would cover the cost to buy it new, or close to it. Hang it on the wall as a memento to never be used again, for my truck at least. On the website it is described " these are built to...

There is always that time when you buy something and you think to yourself "Am i going to use this more than once?" "What is it worth if I only use it once?" This is one of those times where I hope I spent the money on an item to only use it once. This is a quality looking tool that I am...

No major events. Head studs installed. For thread sealer I use Permatex 20539 Indian Head Gasket Shellac Compound I have used it in the past and its never failed me. It acts as a thread locker, and it smells good too. :D Timing gears should be here Wednesday. I am going to leave the ball in...

I like that idea too. Then I will need to made metal chips if I were to tap the hole. I could do the tapping upside down. Still on the fence with that. I knew you would ask that. :D I had all checked that my machine shop was capable of. They saw no issues other than the bores too large.
