I am pretty sure the bully dog has that feature I will have to look again and see what it says when I plug it in.
So you're saying that if it does have the feature its for the speedo only and not the odometer?
I am babying the bullydog tune on its higher setting and get 13.1 according to the dash. I will see what happens when I drop the tune back a couple stages but I am shocked its so bad. My old 6.5 got better than that (15 average) and I actually drove the truck using the pedal not the declining grade.
I am still only seeing right around 13 in my truck, thinking now its the bully dogcrap tune, im going to change it back to a lower level or even stock and see if it increases. I'm babying the throttle for that 13mpg too
Its hard to see the ol 6.5 drive by, even seeing the old body style has me...
So, cleaned the maf, changed the oil in the rig and fuel filter, I don't trust the dealership one bit with them telling me they changed the oil and it passing emissions without a cat because the 06 doesn't come with one. Yeah, right :shifty:. Anyways, my piece of mind knowing its all changed...
Fuel filter is next on my list. I was hoping to hold off and save for the upgrade lift pump but not sure ill have that money in time in time. I plugged the resonator cab and that seems to have changed the throttle response. Not so hesitant anymore or choppy. Makes me wonder if it was leaking or...
:D:D:D:D:D What can I say I'm impressionable. Had I known it was ten years since your last D-max ride I should have made you drive it :woot:. BIGREDD was a beauty queen but yours has the new power plant and you're skills to make it an amazing rig. Don't get me wrong I would love to see you being...
Thanks BTfarm. Glad to know its not just my gauges. Been used to correcting for tires size with the old rig so I will just do that. Can't wait to get EFILIVE and correct the fuel gauge issue. My go fast parts list keeps getting bigger and bigger. Going to try and clean the maf sensor this...
I have tried to get used to it haha its just so shocking to me to watch my gauge drop so fast. Does the messed up calibration transfer over to the other display functions such as giving you a bad average MPG?
I have read several fuel gauge story issues where the gauge reads low or empty and there is still several gallons of fuel in the tank. Well... found out mine is the same way. Ran it for 30 miles after the "LOW" displayed in mileage left, filled it up and it only took 20 gallons. I have read that...
Sounds like I will go with the blocker plate then. I plan on using the CTS to monitor everything, And will get the add on EGT gauge. I want to run the EFI Live with the DPS-5 switch. My buddy is boasting 21mpg out of his rig with this setup.
I knew there wasn't much good about the bully dog...
Snorkel might be the wrong term to use. There is a plastic piece that mounts in the front radiator support just behind the passenger marker light that directs airflow from there to opening in the fender where the old intake used to pull from. Removing that would just open the hole and direct...
I missed your edit about selling it to Paul haha. He was the first person I offered it to. But he didn't want the regular cab. I couldn't think of a better person to sell it to though.
I gave the buyer all the forum info so I am expecting him to chime in at any time
Thank you. I will be posting pics here shortly of the new purchase. I peeled all the chrome and stickers off of the truck and a few spots pulled paint :banghead:. Just got it back last Friday all touched up. Hopefully I get it all detailed in the next week or two. I plan on go fast goodies in...
Sadly yes BIGREDD is gone. :( I had been kicking around the idea of a DMAX swap in but after looking at the price of a wrecked truck and the work/time/money involved in the swap I started looking around at other DMAX's. I found the one I own now listed at a dealer a mile away from work. Called...
Looking really good Nate. Something that I wanted to do with my old rig but never got around to. I assume you took out the snorkel from the fender? Did you have any plans to open up the metal hole in the radiator support where the snorkel used to be to allow more air to be rammed in?
