Not sure how it's setup on a Van, but on a truck engine the electronic version just unscrews out of the top of the IP. on the mechanical IP's you have to remove the top cover from the pump so the upper portion of the intake has to come off to access it. I forget which IP you have.
I wonder if that electric friction tape would have worked. the kind that doesn't have any sticky to it, that sort of adheres to it's self and would have to be cut off once applied. 400' of 4/0 had to have been worth a pretty penny even back in the day!
Seems like I recall someone ether here or on another forum has a truck with a center mount turbo setup.
They say setting up dual turbos works too. you would need a second drinkers side manifold to go on the captain's side and just cap off the crossover section. someone here did this an had...
if the impeller was the right size since it would be getting exhaust from one head, that might work. since the truck engines use a crossover exhaust it would work. but mounting would be the issue. same as trying to drop a center mount humvee engine in a truck. you'll need a hood cowl to...
I had always made my own battery cables using some heavy welding cable and the copper lugs. would set the lugs upright in the vice, use a propane torch and fill the wire cavity with solder. heat the stripped end of the cable some then shove it in the hole. cover the ends in what ever color...
Sounds like I better leave that to an expert! I wouldn't know where to find that sort of adapter. I already know not to mess with the adjustments, since these have already been toyed with it needs to go to an expert like you for inspection.
makes me want to take the pump that's on that 6.2...
@Rockabillyrat Is there a way i can check the transfer pressure with the pump still in the engine? a way to connect a gauge just to see if it's "ok" I was just backtracking reading up on what all has been done to this truck in the past. the engine has been running on this pump since 2016...
Been working on searching the forums to compile the full history of this 93 together on a timeline. been searching posts here and in DP. Once I have most of all the major things listed I will post something in the build threads here with all the links.
Can you record a video and post it for us to see? my first thought is possibly failing battery cables and or the new starter is not spinning the engine fast enough. you might also want to pull both batteries and go have them tested. have them give you a printout on what each one is...
Played with the 93 some while I was charging batteries. wired up the cold advance on the IP so it would work. had to splice in a diode to the fast idle solenoid that pushes on the throttle since I have it wired into the AC so it bumps the idle with the AC running. tested it out to make sure...
went outside today to check on the 95 since I had charged up the batteries and drove it around a bit yesterday. this morning the batteries were dead once again!! layed on the charger to get enough juice into them to check for a parasitic drain. discoed both batteries and found nothing...
I was actually thinking about making a thread to compile all the history I could find on it just for reference to me and others. I see he’s pulled the videos so I will try and see if I can recover them from the wayback machine if it’s there.
@Will L. Here is where it starts. and again on post 65 on this same thread where the rocker issue was found.

Yeah I'm sure the engine drank that much more oil. it's getting plenty of cylinder lubrication LOL. hopefully i can keep it running and driving a while longer till I run across another decent engine or buildable block to put in it.
I was reading here in the forums from the past looking at...
went outside to tend to the 95 truck this morning. I've had the battery tender on it since it hasn't been started in a couple of weeks now. apparently this chineesium battery charger shuts off when they are full and never turns back on until it's power cycled! both batteries were low again...
Something that might also be of good info is a comparison on them for the different use cases. for the casual every day driver vs the towing or hauling. something that points out which ones spool up at lower rpms and higher.
for myself, I like to hear the spooling but have no need for one in...
it's nice that a 2022 model has the same layout as a 2014! plug n play and your off to the races!
