What did you do with your GMT400 today...or yesterday....

I have a Snap On unit that looks a little more fancy but same principle. Along with the load testing, after it is accomplished to satisfaction, if the battery proves to be borderline to bad, then I like to use a hydrometer and check each cell. Dont know why, battery needs replacing regardless of...

`Smokey Starts getting worse with the colder weather

Okay. I will pull down the tester from the shelf and check what thread size and how many per inch and see what I can find. If I cant figure it out I will post the dimensions and thread count and see what the team can figure out. I tend to over think way too much and might totally miss the...

While at the JY, sometime, if You happen across about a 95, how much older IDK, and it has the PS pump with the regular old fashioned hose connector and valve on the back of the PS pump, I will pay You dearly, in cash, for that set. The JY, only one, over here, has a love affair with their GM...

Finished connecting the Air Dog LP system. Shortened the wires to the underhood fuse box and to the L side battery. Connected the battery voltage wire direct to the battery, it is a long ways around the back of the engine to the alternator and I already have several aux wires routed back there...

Got the PS EVO valve reinstalled. I will say. If a person plans on tackling the removal, or replacing of that valve,’on an IFS four wheel drive truck then: Have on hand a semi deep 1-3/16ths socket, preferably in 3/8ths drive, but, a 1/2” to 3/8ths drive adapter might work. All I have is a SO...

I guess I just did not understand the dimension/thread pitch. I just used the gauge provided. Maybe I will revisit this and find the required elements to make this into a real nice unit. Or find a nice Used OTC tester.

I been waiting for such a post. @Big T I have a tuned ECM for my truck. Going to do the initial injector line bleed and fire up with the OEM computer. Get it fired and nicely warmed up, timing off set function, then, install the new ECM. It will also go through the timing function but nothing...

What transmission is in a 2007 Chevy 2500HD Classic 6.0

Maybe she could give You the portion of the serial number that would tell what transmission it is. Like My truck is an F code, IIRC, 8th digit. Or possibly the entire SN then a dealer can look it up and tell You all the options.

The india pop testers uses some sort of british pipe thread on the gauge. IDR just what size and thread count. Requires an adapter to install one of our good gauges with the high point needle.

@dbrannon79 I call that a hickup. My truck, very seldom has one of those, kind of a weird little hitch in the idle.

    My Shop

I would like to build a dwelling, using 2X8 top and bottom plate, 2X4 studs to the inside and outside with a 1/2” gap between them. I’m not much for spray foamy insulation so paper backed fiberglass outside, maybe 1/2” foam board between the studs then fiberglass inside. Be expensive but I think...

Welp, so phar today. Lower shroud installed, then removed to trim off where the radiator drain cock is located. Make that a little easier to access. Lower shroud reinstalled, fan attached to WP, upper shroud is on and the radiator is filled. Cleaned the batteries, filled them with distilled...

That I shall do before I try to start it. Oh no, Snap On breaker handle in a 3/8ths drive, aaaand, dropped Forge Multi Wrench, sawed to pieces to make a reversable IP nut wrench. @ak diesel driver is the one that give Me the idea to get a reversable ratcheting end wrench for building a wrench...

Will the 1” styrofoam board go over the studs ? I have thought of doing such as that but didnt know how much squish there would be between the foamy and the OSB/Plywood.

    My 2005 Yukon XL

It reads every sensor on the 6.5 thats connected through the ECM, PTCM. Plus runs live data of all the sensors. Best $65.00 I have ever spent on diagnostic equipment.

    My 2005 Yukon XL

I run the Autel Maxi200, as suggested by @Quadstar Tuning LLC It about does it all I think. I know it runs live data and resets SES lamps. Thats about all that I have done with it. Cost about $65.00 with the ALDL adaptor and runs through a phone app. It does read timing and timing off set on our...

    Questions and Answers About Gauges

Recently I was wanting to fill a compartment on a three gauge pod that I have setting atop of the dash of My truck. The gauge to the right is fuel pressure, hooked through the toggle switch to, as suggested by @Will L. , monitor the pre and post fuel pressures of the FFM fuel filtering system...
