So my buddy broke the crank in his 97 Burn so we did what any of us would have done. We took another 6.5 I
I had bought off Craigslist for $100. The guy claimed he had it rebuilt 50k ago but it lost power and his mechanic first told him it was the turbo so he replaced it. That didn't fix it so...
Bill reflashed my max e torque to an att tune for $100. It had lots of smoke on low end. I called him and he reflashed it again and took some fuel out of the bottom end.

I like those numbers. I told him I tow a small boat or a sled trailer but that's about it.
I also get high egts if I boot it. Highway I am running 600-700 but if I flat foot it, it will easily and quickly hit 1100. I need to recheck my timing. My Tech 1 died the last time I put a pump in it so...
Your hoping for around 400HP and you worried about the cost of some programming? The programming is a drop in the bucket compared to what it cost to build a 400HP 6.5. Many of us have spent thousands and few have broke 300HP. If you spend the money it cost to build 400HP (that will stay...
I second both of you. The stock ecm will de fuel and you need to know what your timing is. You also want to see what your fuel rate is at idle. a weak pump will not deliver enough fuel at WOT

I just went through this with a customers truck. I was using carcode. No matter where I put the pump I could not get the tdco to change there for I could not clear the code and with a code in the ecm it won't command the learn. I had the same problem on another truck in the yard as well. I...

You do not remove the thick factory shim, you just ad the shim stock under it.
I bought a pack of sheet shims from MSC. It comes with 4x8 sheets of many thicknesses. I use a punch from a tarp repair kit at Wal-Mart. Been doing it that way for years.
I'm in! It would be realy cool if we found a place with a dyno and had a get together there. Bring a grill or two, foog, beer and black smoke! HELL YEAH
