Claas Is Here!!! (plus other pics from spring)

We get paid by the milk plant to haul our own milk, but yes trucking charges are deducted out of the milk check for farmers. There is no such thing as a truck being held up in wisconsin. Milk trucks are the sole reason we have soo many paved roads, and soo many plow trucks, salt and so on...

Got me a new little welder

Practice makes perfect. But the welder also has a lot to do with it. Grab your gun and watch the consistency of the wire feed. It may not be too good, but hey you are just learning. Everybody starts somewhere, you would be surprised what many people build with those HF units. The concepts...

    Need a new air ratchet

gotta love box stores haha. I have the snap-on FAR7200. Its got plenty of power. I would never pay $412 for it though. Got it off eBay a year old for $70, otherwise i probably never wouldve gotten it. Plus my local snap-on guy is great to deal with. the 7200 and 72c are made by snap-on, the...

No, in canada you have to buy in to the quota systems, I forgot how much it cost to add one cow but it was substantial. I forgot to answer you other question, we run around 1000 acres. The forage equipment that is split between the three farms will run across 900 acres of alfalfa (4 times...

Our prices for milk will probably confuse you more than the quota system. The CME sets the base price for milk. Since ours goes into cheese (like 98% of wisconsins milk) our price is based off of Class III price. Then there are solids bonuses, plate count bonuses, and so on. There used to be...

Ours is just an LT2 or whatever. Its cloth bench seat with Bluetooth and auto climate control, tow mirrors, the nicer wheels and thats about it. And it still costs more than a nice semi.

i avoid armor all like the plague. You should verify your deere is painted and not dyed with a gel coat.

If we had to use a quota system like yours we might throw in the towel and do something else. The more you learn about quota based systems the more you despise them. The pay of your quota system versus a successful farmer in the states is similar. In the states us minorities (aka Jersey...

Big Rigs. What do you prefer

Our local CAT dealer is supposed to be getting 30 in next month. I still like W900 KWs. We bought a 1996 T800B KW for a new feed truck. It was supposed to be set at 435hp but when KW plugged into it, it was at 525hp I guess. And I can say that it feels strong. Its an N14 Plus. Also has a...
