How to install 98-01 Dodge towing mirrors on a GMT400

I've been wanting the CIPA's for some time until I saw this and another post about the conversion. I have been used to the manual movement so it would not bother me if the power did not work. You beat me to the question. :mad2: Now I need to find a set of wide mirrors as when I went out to take...

How to install 98-01 Dodge towing mirrors on a GMT400

What are those mirrors you have on there now? Look maybe like the CIPA's. Did you have to do anything besides the spacers to get the 265's to fit"? I may want to keep my tires from my 93 now. Thanks, Mark

How to install 98-01 Dodge towing mirrors on a GMT400

Sorry I have not gotten the pic yet. To be honest, I completely forgot. I will try to get it done tomorrow. I want mirrors like those and would love to have them wired up. I'm not sure if my truck has the wires in the door or not, I do know the switch is there. I would assume they are and the...

Early Christmas present. Some assembly required. Batteries included. (95 burb engine)

Sounds great! My 93 turns over with a 1/4 turn on the key. Getting my 94 close to being the same. It's now at 1/4 to 1/2 turn and starts right up.

Warwagon, Not to jump the thread but, here are the pics you requested that I could not add to the PM. That turbo is nice though. Might have to consider one of them down the road. Mark

How to install 98-01 Dodge towing mirrors on a GMT400

I will do it tomorrow as I have to do some work on both, more parts are selling from the old one. I need to get some other pics for others that requested it so my camera will be busy tomorrow. :D The one mirror switch is on the drivers door with the 4 way square(up, down, right & left) and the...

How to install 98-01 Dodge towing mirrors on a GMT400

Looking at the date of your post, you may have already researched this but, yes the 94's did have power mirrors. I now know this due to the new to me 94 cc/dually has the buttons on the drivers door panel. Unfortunately for now, I have the big goofy metal fliparound mirrors, which is why I'm...

    6.5 grounds

I went to the store today to get something new but, nothing peaked my interest. I then thought stupid, you have another truck in your driveway with the same components, swap them out. That's what I did.... (feeling dumb)

    6.5 grounds

Thanks, is it a 3/8-20 or 3/8-18 etc..? Just want to be sure and not take anything apart while trying to make it to a store while working.

    6.5 grounds

Anybody know off the top of their head what the bolt size is for the side posts on our batteries? I believe I have one of the ground posts that the screw is slightly loose. I tightened it as much as possible for now and the truck starts quicker now like my old baby. 1/4 turn for a second on the...

    6.5 grounds

If it's the one below the fuse box, I believe it to be the one accessable from just laying on your back on the wet mat(after rain or snow) looking into the dang curtousy(sp) light(blinding and burning piece of crap(note to self, remove bulb prior to work)) while trying to get to it. This one...

DTC 68 - Transmission Component Slipping

Thanks but no excitement yet. It runs fine in D and the tach rolls down when letting off the pedal like it should but still no OD and when driven in the OD mode the tach will just fall to idle as soon as I let off no matter the speed I'm travleing.I'm just frustrated and pulled the 68 again...

DTC 68 - Transmission Component Slipping

Evening gents,Just a quick update: I pulled all cables off the batteries today since I had a little bit of daylight left and some 40 degree weather and cleared codes.I checked them prior to starting it and then after driving it. No codes yet. I have not taken her on the highway yet but will try...

High idle cold and glow plug disable temps? (93)

Would this have anything to do with the coolant level sensor wiring as well? Since the tranny rebuild and the tcm replacement, aside from getting the code 68, my high idle will not work when the pedal is depressed in 20 degree temps after not being started and not plugged in as well as the low...

DTC 68 - Transmission Component Slipping

Unfortunately not. I wish I did but I'm more in the the "if your home breaks, I can fix it" mode rather than the automotive field. I do what I can to some aspect but in all reality, it scares the crap out of me. I don't like to screw things up, especially in my money maker. I always look at the...
