Mine had the Trans " TSB fixes" done to it already when I bought it, and it's still slow to go into Reverse some mornings.
Supposedly caused by the Drainback Valve in the Trans Filter.
Well, we've all seen pics of how the Frame looked on my Truck...just before it started to get cold, I hit the Outside of the Frame (the part you see) with Black Dip, and to this day, it looks the same as it did the day I Sprayed it on. So it's def holding up just fine.
Honestly, 100% better...
As long as it's applied thick enough / correctly, you can leave it on forever. However, some recommend peeling it once a year and re-doing it.
I wouldn't say it really scratches, but it'll get a "mark" about as easy as paint does.

No, it's not hard at all.
I started out with Aerosol and then went to the Gun. With Aerosol, the final / dried product has a little bit of texture to it. NOT like Bedliner at all, but it's not 100% smooth. Out of the Gun however, it dries VERY nice & flat, like Paint.
