Ok this is driving me nuts and I cant seem to make a decision......I need some opinions here.
Im going to buy a set of the 37-4605 clear headlights from LMC. These are the ones with the glare caps. I want to replace my fogged parkights while im at it.
I just cant decide between buying the...
2 years ago here in ct, there was a truck meeting that exact description for sale. I went and test drove it for a friend and it was far from nice. The black on the two tone was covering up some half assed rust repair on the rockers and door bottoms.
I wonder if it is the same truck...
Looks amazing....Ive had that exact set up in mind using the k47 box, so im happy to see someone else thinks the same way.
Ive got a hx35 i need of a rebuild that I aquired a long time ago, but the more reasearch ive been doing, the more im leaning towards the hx40II. I jumped on the holset...
Relocate the PMD outside the engine bay with a harness. Period. The farther away from heat the better. The units on top of the intake manifold are the worst choice.
You say you have it on the ABS brain as of now. Not a bad spot per say, just make sure you have it mounted to a heat absorbing...
Curious as to what year the truck is....In my opinion if the rest of the truck is in nice shape it is worth that price all day long. Just be weary of the used car dealer "stories" Take a good look at the rest of the engine for any other odd ball fixes or cover ups. There is one for sale down the...
Ive had 89', 95', and an 01' with snow plows. Never had an issue other than the front end sags from the weight. There are TONS of these trucks running around with plows and ive never heard of a frame issue until you posted this. Maybe its dependent on how many miles are put on plowing or your...
Its to the point now that I cant even drive it long enough to use cruise control. Im gonna try replacing the pump and see what happens.
Thanks for all the help guys. Ill keep you posted on the results

So according to the test, the IP passes. However, if i hold it at 2000rpms and then quickly let off the pedal it jumps right up to 2800rpms and comes slowly down. Quick jabs at the pedal have similar results, along with stalling.
Im afraid to try any more of theses "tests" as I fear a runaway...
Fuel pressure burried the 8psi guage I have. So thats fine
2000rpm test is kinda a crap shoot IMO. I was playing around with that a long time ago, and according to that test the pump in my 95 failed. Well it lasted another 20K miles until the engine let go. But Ill grab my scan tool and give...
I just put a new LP in about a month or so ago. So it should have feed pressure unless blocked like you said. Testing the fuel pressure on this thing is a bastard because instead of a t-valve like the older trucks, it has a quick disconnect fitting for a specialty pressure tester (which i dont...
Ok, just dismissed the pmd theory. Took the heath unit from my 96 and plugged it into the van. Exactly the same problems.
If you let it sit for a few hours it starts fine and runs good for about 2-3 min. Then it stalls and runs like crap. Throttle control becomes erratic and engine sounds...
Im gonna agree with you on that. Much easier to try a new pmd than a pump. Got a new one on order as it dosent hurt to have a good spare. I have 2 old ones but I have no idea if they are any good or not.

Ok guys. I think my luck has finnaly run out on this one. Our 2000 chevy express van with the 6.5 has developed quite the problem. Ive had a common problem with these codes (p0251,p0370) but once cleared they wont return for months. This is the link to my last bout of issues with the truck...
Hey guys, looking to buy a new PMD. What are your opinions on the best one? D-Tech or Stanadyne? Any tips for where to buy? best warranty, price etc. I think the IP in our van finally bit the dust, but i want to try another pmd just in case. Every one ive had go on me has had different symptoms...
