Has anyone purchased the duramax swap guide from over at "the page"? Im planning on doing an lb7 swap into my 95 in the future, but i want to start researching and part searching now. Just curious if anyone has bought it and their opinions. Thanks

Well its about damn time that problem is solved. Brand new FRC-10 from Leroy and my guage is where it should be. Needless to say the FRB-5 could not put out the pressures that the truck needed, not even close. In fact, when I took it out I was seeing from 0-3psi at idle. No more. Same results...
Mine is now on "stilts" to clear my relocated FFM. I like the look of the factory cover over the bare intake and wires. Looks how it came from the factory. Heat isnt a concern in my opinion, especially with a remote mount pmd.
And as for those who cry and say it takes too long to remove for...
Correct on the FRB-5. Guage is before the IP.
I remember matts problems from a while back and read through his thread again. Almost the exact same issues Im having, but now even lower pressures.
I put on about 200 miles in the last two days and tried some different diagnostics.....Aside from...
Pressures are up but not exactly what I would hope for......read new thread here: http://www.thetruckstop.us/forum/showthread.php?35039-Walbro-pressures
Ok so i need someone to compare notes with....Ive been seeing some low pressures with my new fuel system set up. Im running a new walbro FRB-5 LP with a 30 micron racor pre-filter and the stock filter in the engine valley. I have my pressure tap right before the IP and have verified the...
If i remember correctly the factory filter is a 5 micron, which will catch all the fine crap before it enters the IP.
The 30 micron pre-filter is ideal to filter out the larger particles first and keep them out of the LP for longer life. When I had this settup in my 95' I noticed the factory...
Does anyone have the filter number for the aftermarket racor units?
I believe mine was a 490R30. I replaced the racor filter with a napa filter, which I am now learning is only a 15micron filter. I was seeing some real low fuel pressures shortly after the filter change and I think this would...
Just installed a set of airlift air bags in my 96 and I love them. Great ride along with awesome weight capacity. Dont add helpers whatever you do. Keep an eye out on the forums for my write-up. Havent had enough time to sit down load pictures and type it up yet..

Nice score! I really like the 93'. Problem is that it dosent match your fleet. Its 4 wheel drive :hihi:
We have been looking for a little bucket truck like that here too. They are pricey though...especially for something that you dont use very much. Although ive got a good deal now, I just...
x2 on having the trans rebuilt. Guy down the road from me will do a full rebuild for $1200. Hell of alot cheaper than buying a new one all together.
normburns.....Check your clutch fluid. Being low obvoiusly causes some problems, but also look for thick black coloring. This can indicate...
I called the company this morning and spoke with tech support. They want all the measurements between the axle and frame taken with full weight on the axle. Meaning, the distance between the two should be alot less than I had measured. I was taking a reading with the axle dropped partially, but...
Those kenlderman's are some serious kits. There website and info kinda sucks. Hard to find what the settup for the older trucks looks like. And judging by the descriptions, the kits arent designed for added weight capacity, which is what im going for. Like I said, if I have to ill just leave the...
Thanks for the links. The weatherpack kit on the first site looks good. Bit pricy at $187 plus the economy tool for $67. Very helpful on the phone i will add. If I was local and able to pick it up, I probably would have done it. Thanks for all the help so far guys. Im gonna search some local...
First probelm I have run into already, is that the airbags are going to be too short. The rear axle obviously has to be able to travel freely in both directions. The compressive ability of the bags is not an issue, but the maximum amount they will stretch out is.
The rear axle can only drop...
