LED Clearnce lights on the 1994 K3500

One of the members here had suggested http://www.v-leds.com/ when I bought some for my lund moon visor. Make sure to buy the same color bulb as the lense you are putting it behind. I found that the LED replacement bulbs just made the lights look alot brighter, they dont look like the LED's on...

    Fuel Lines

Ive been using some red multi-fuel hose from NAPA that is bio-diesel compatable as well. Very thick walls and easy to work with, plus it is much easier to change around placement of aux. fuel filters, lift pump etc. -Nick

    98deg and no overheating!

Ive got a/c on mine and dont really notice much of a difference with it on or off. Original radiator as well. Dave how are you liking that banks settup on the blazer? I havent been to chuck and eddies lately, but the last time I was there I didnt see a single gm diesel. Plenty of fords though...

    Towing maiden voyage. Yikes!

Alot of people claim the single stat housing flows better with a more equal flow to either side. My 96' has the dual settup from the factory and I have ZERO problems with overheating. I would suggest clean the radiator youself or bring it to a rad. shop and have it professionaly cleaned. And...

    98deg and no overheating!

So for anyone who thinks a cooling system upgrade is a must for towing...I am running a 96 chevy with dual t-stats and factory equiped blade and clutch. All original with acdelco t-stats. Last two days have been 95-100deg here and I have been towing the excavator up and down interstate 95 with a...

    Resurecting New Engine

Correct. It is a ex cab short bed Z71. The only rot is on the very bottom of the door lips. Body looks nice but has a few dents here and there. Frame is good but could use some sanding and paint in the rear as it is starting to rust from sitting. It has been stored indoors for about 2 years now...

    Resurecting New Engine

Maybe I can cut you a deal on my 95' k1500. Same color and everything...just needs a good engine. I absolutely hate to sell it/part it out but if it was going to a good home I would think about it.... I really like the look of those rims on your truck....and spray that entire frame down with a...

    06' Nav radio...what disc?

Ok so I need some help here...I purchased a brand new TNR radio from the dealer that they had as a take-out. This is a non-lux unit part no. 15229287 What I am looking for is what map discs are compatable with this unit installed in my 06' silverado? I was told to contact the gmnavdisc.com...

    Blue smoke at idle

I always am hesitant to jump on the injector bandwagon. It seems people are quick to blame injectors on any LB7 problem..just as people are always quick to blame the injection pump on any problem with the 6.5L But it seemed to me in this case thats what was going on. And with 120K on this set...

    Blue smoke at idle

Smoke is deffinetly blue. Usually after a long highway run when pulling up to a stop light, a large cloud of smoke will pass you by followed by a steady haze of blue afterwords. Now this isnt the usual smoke "haze" that we normally see with these trucks. It is deffinetly more than usual. -Nick

    Blue smoke at idle

Ok guys, I need a few opinions here.... 03 LB7 with 320K miles on the clock. Injectors have about 120K. I have been getting quite a bit of blue smoke at idle once the engine gets real warm, as in after running on the highway for a while. My first thought was injectors, but a balance test...

    Which D Max/

Well now I want to tune the truck even more...Ive been holding off on the tune and egr block as my extended warranty just ran out in Febuary. Now that I dont have to worry about that im ready to start looking for an apropriate tune. Very happy to hear that the mileage can improve that much. I...

    Which D Max/

so just my .02 . . . Being that we own 2 LB7's, 1 LLY, and 1 LBZ, I would have to say the LB7 might be my favorite of the bunch. Provided I will say that all of these motors are amazing, trouble free, and powerfull to boot. There isnt a bad one out of the bunch. Now the LB7's obviously have...

1994 k2500 5speed, does it have a dual mass flywheel- clutch not disengaging properly

Some did, some didnt. Seems the only way to find out if you have one or not is to pull it apart. All the reasearch I did on my 96 stated that I had a dual mass.....so after ordering a clutch for the dual mass, I dropped the tranny to find a solid flywheel. And that was the original clutch. -Nick

    Att dyno results

I never wanted an automatic pickup until I drove an allison. All im gonna say on that topic. 6.5L....so as of now, which turbo housing are you the happiest with? I have the same nv4500 truck but with 3.73's, so I am interested to hear your opinion. And im gonna agree with buddy on wanting peak...

to turbomaster and vac pump delete or not?

Agreed with the above...For towing and reliability go TM and delete. Daily driving and econonmy, stick with the factory vac system. -Nick

    Lift Pump pressure?

countryboy69, I would suggest a stock style airtex pump if you are staying with the stock fuel lines and no-prefilter. The pressures I was seeing with my healthy stock pump were more than enough for a stock truck. But if you are going for possibly a computer chip or reflash, I would highly...

NOTICE: Amsoil discontinues Eaa111 NanoFiber filter!!

Correct...Nearest that I can tell is the k47 option probably just got you the HD filter, not a different air box. There are no ID markings on any of the boxes, and every one I have seen seems to be the exact same size as the other. Shame to see they are not producing this filter any more...I...
