Delays…that’s an understatement. Bolt chasing, fittings, parts sourcing and such. Yesterday’s two joys: M8 bolts provided in a kit where 3/8-16 bolts are correct. “Maybe it’s M10 1.5?”… nope. M10 1.25?… nope again (store runs required each time), 3/8s?…store run by spousal unit…right thread...

Lower compression motor, difficult to start, white smoke reeking of acrid diesel fumes, rough running...sounds a lot like white I was experiencing except for the BD2 vs. my DS4. My lower compression was achieved with shorter pistons that don't protrude above the block vs. shorter rods.

Cut and assembled a 6AN Turbo Oil Feed Line for BigT's new motor. Tested it to 55 PSI with soapy water at all points and no bubbles. Added the x2 NPT-6AN fittings for the motor and the turbo sides too. Otherwise, no bueno.
Swapped in the ARP Starter Bolts and packed up the one I scavenged...
