Thanks for the correction, Ferm. I remember having to do that to an old truck I had, didn't know if it had stayed the same into the future models. I suggested it because it didn't cost anything to try.
Sorry for the dumb suggestion, Simon.
Simple and cheap first, Simon. Humour me. I forgot about the old valves.
I bet your pro portioning valve is locked out (segmented sustem). It can happen when you get a leak, blown line, or just excessive travel in the rears. There is a toggle that locks out front or back in brake loss...
Yep. Lots you can do to prevent warping. Depends on how diligent you want to be, and how much time you want to take. As you say though, milling the mating surfaces and using a medium-density gasket interface might be easier.
Wood baseplate.. I remember that one well! Made me ROFL.

Yep - It's another Claas. I really, really need one of these to cut my lawn. :D
Good pics, Marty ... you gotta get it all and find out what caused it.
Yep, you found it. I suspect though, that the rot keeps going down. Do you have a leak up on the roof or somewhere that can trail into that corner? Water can do some strange stuff once it gets in behind the metal...
Hi Shawn! Welcome to the Truck Stop! Take a few minutes to fill out your signature (click the link in my signature, it'll take you to yours) and tell us about your truck.
x3 on those suggestions... I think you are into checking the complex stuff when there is still a lot of simple stuff left to...
Cooling system: Clean it. No, I mean REALLY clean it.

- pull the rad - remove the felt blanket between the AC condenser and the rad. Give it to your neighbor as a souvenir.
